Gladwell Family

Friends and Family

This week was crazy (like all the others) and we are getting ready for two more super busy weeks.

The Gladwell family is preparing for baptism on the tenth of September; which includes, Michael (50's), Mickie (14), Melody (11), and Brizel (9). The mom is a member, and we are super excited for their baptism. Melody goes into surgery on the 12th of September (which is my last working day on the mission), to get her spine worked on. She has a sever case of scoliosis, and there isn't a great chance that she will make it through, let alone be able to walk again. She will be baptized on the tenth, confirmed on the 11th, and then on the 12th (my last p-day) we will go to the hospital and give her a blessing before the surgery. on the 13th, I'll drive into lubbock, and then on the 14th I will fly into Las Vegas... it's so surreal. It'll be a crazy couple of weeks.

This week on Wednesday, and Thursday we did exchanges with different missionaries in our zone. One of them was a district leader, and then others were missionaries who need a little help. I didn't even really see Elder Gray for like 2 straight days. It was good to see him again after the exchanges lol. For exchanges we usually bring the missionaries into our area, just so we have a little bit better control over how the day goes. It's a lot of fun, but it's pretty exhausting sometimes.

We taught around 30 lessons this week, with a decent amount of help from members that are coming out with us. Some nights we have so many appointments, that we have to go on splits to cover all of them. Because we're on exchanges so much, I have investigators that I've taught two or three times that Elder Gray hasn't even met, and vice-versa. It feels like we have our own areas haha. Really, the only progressing investigators are the gladwell family. Despite the surgery coming up, Melody is one of the happiest little girls I've ever met. I'll be sure to send pictures soon.

Well, I better get going, I've got a bike to send home. Love y'all. Have a blessed week
